PuraFit is a vibrant community offering resources for health, fitness, and leisure, including informative articles, tips, guides, and custom apparel services to elevate your lifestyle. The primary goal was to create a custom, responsive platform that could handle the amount of content for instructors and fitness enthusiasts, while showcasing the custom apparel services.

Challenges

Identifying Pain Points: Since the site is in development, the main tasks involve a soft launch to introduce platform and continued testing.

Specific Issues: Loads of content...too much to shake a cyber stick at!  The site also needed to be intuitive enough for content providers and premium guide members to manage and submit their content.

Solution

Initial Consultation: Due to the platform consisting of several types of sites integrated together, we committed ourselves to researching health and fitness sites, events sites, local guides, and fitness blogs.

Development Process:

• Design Phase: We created site maps and wireframes to visualize how all the major components and features will integrate with one another.
• Development Phase: Our team built the website using our preferred CMS, Joomla, ensuring a seamless, responsive design for all devices, as well as creating roles and permissions for administrators to add and manage content, as well as the content providers.
• Testing and Deployment: PuraFit is still in the testing phase to ensure functionality across all devices before the final deployment.

Implementation

Design and Development: The new website features a sleek and active design with intuitive navigation. Key functionalities included an interactive galleries and videos, and data visualization for challenges.

User Experience: The site is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, providing a consistent and enjoyable user experience.

Performance Enhancements: Page loading times were significantly reduced by loading all of the content dynamically and according to Guide app, News/Features app, Challenges app, and Events app categories.
